Every rat has his (or possibly her) eyes set on being at the very top of the Skaven hierarchy. Some claw their way up the ranks through legitimate means, proving themselves worthy of holding ranks and positions of relative power. Other rats however, advance through fraudulent scams, blackmails, assassination contracts, and by simply stealing the credit of others. Zarplock never truly worked a single day in his entire life, conveniently having his fellow peers assassinated or by letting a...'lab accident' occur, and claiming credit for the inventions and advancements of the dead. Unsurprisingly, as a result, Zarplock was quick to advance his way through Skryre's hierarchy, now a Warlock Master. Despite his illegitimate means of advancement, he is still very deadly both in magic, brain power, and of course, the inventions he is capable of making when he's not too lazy to make them. Such ruthlessness and willingness to sell out his own at the drop of the hat earned him Krashak's attention, and the seer was more than happy to have such dastardly methods employed into his service. With the backing of a Grey Seer, Zaplock now sees himself as invincible, claiming to be the best and most powerful rat in Clan Skryre. Though his words are likely not true, none would stand against a rat who has the protection of a seer.
