“Come on dad! Hurry!” Cried the little canine/dragon hybrid girl. “We’re gonna miss the fireworks!”
“Yeah dad! You’re taking too long!” bemoaned the dragon/canine boy.
“Merrick, Larxene… calm down you two. We’ve still got 10 minutes.” Mecha chuckled, patting their heads, both tugging on his arms.
“Daddy’s right, we’ve got plenty of time.” Liena smiled, as the family arrived at their spot.
“God damn, aren’t the two of you cold!?” Nikita stared in bewilderment at the parents, dressed hardy for the snowy weather they were in.
Mecha showed off the coats he was carrying, “If we feel it, I got these. No issue.” He chuckled, “In case you forgot, I’ve been in some harsh climates before.”
“Like what dad!?” Merrick looked to his father, “Tell me tell me!”
The hound chuckled, “I’ve been in blizzards, in the middle of bum-fu…… fudge nowhere.” He chuckled, looking away, “That needed serious coverage. Full ensemble.” He smiled, patting Merrick’s head, “But I’m a grown adult with lots of tempering, so keep your coat on pup.”
Merrick groaned, “Oh.. alright.”
Larxene giggled, “Well I like what I’m wearing. Works just fine for a star like me.” She smiled.
“Yes it does. Though you’re a princess, not a star.” Mecha smiled, gently patting her head.
“Damn straight!”
“LARX!” Liena snapped.
The girl ducked her head down, “Umm… darn straight?” She smiled sheepishly.
“Oh! The show’s about to start!” The twins quickly turned their attention to the sky, as it soon burst into color. Liena smiled, holding Mecha’s hand, grinning at him, “It’s a wonder sight isn’t it?”
The hound simply smiled, “Beautiful.”
The two stared into one another eyes, before diverting their attention to their kids cheering at the show. The two rested their heads together, a gentle, serene smile playing over their lips.
A little something I had done up by
xehta13 for the season. And I felt like it had to be shared here on FA since this is where this happy family was brought to life. I finally decided to have the lovely little twins finally take form for all to see. Merrick on the left and Larxene on the right. And of course the proud parents of the pair hanging in the back.
While 2020 has been a ride and a half, I do hope everybody has a merry little christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate. A little brightness and cheer can go a long way in these tough times.
