This is something I made for my father for Christmas, and he loved it as I thought he would. =P
So an explanation of this. Lego recently made this mosaic kit:
https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/.....sic-2020-31198
I saw this kit in a Target and thought of my dad, but as I looked at the price I thought "Nah I can just make this out of Perler Beads." So I made sprites based off of the Lego kit.
Here's the funny thing, the kit has 2,933 pieces, but each "sprite" is 48x48. For those who don't wanna do the math that is 2,304 beads/Legos per sprite/mosaic. Wait, 2,304x4=9,216 beads/Legos....... So the Lego kit allows you to build any ONE of the Beatles, so if you wanted to display all four you'd need to buy that $120 kit FOUR times. Yeah I'll just use 9,200 Perler beads at the cost of $30. =P
And for those interested these photos were included in the Beatles White Double Album, learned of that from my dad who knew exactly where the photos were from. =P

Yeah, the Lego Mosaics are fun ideas, but the only truly new pieces you're getting is the sections in the back, other than that you can do this in lego and save money if you don't mind using a base place and picking out colors from online, though some colors are expensive.
The bulk of price comes from the brand 16x16x2 base plates that come in sets of 9 in the sets. I bought 3 of the star wars one to build the super vader and it looks amazing, alot of the studs are in new colors which is another factor along with the new technic pieces deisgned to be used as wall hangers. Anyway good work on the paintings regardless
