I was relaxing after walking around the Chiang Mai Zoo (which happens to be on the side of a mountain) when I spotted a lizard climb halfway across a tree branch about 30 feet away. I zoomed in and the lizard silhouetted nicely against the backdrop of a large pond. Like me, he was likely taking solace in the shade from the oppressive heat.

These guys are everywhere in Chiang Mai and I sometimes spot them running about in my room...not that I mind. They keep the more unpleasant creepy crawlies away.
