Actually, I like this one much, much better. It's a blend of the two techniques, which works out nicely.

It's absolutely wonderful. this might be just me, but it looks like the background and foreground are too smiler and prevents the character to pop out. again that's just me.

looks great i have a hard time doing faces at that angle.
