Living in a video game world has it's benefits, including the fact that death means nothing as you just respawn, no matter what. This means that friends can do whatever they want with each other without worry.
Here, Sonic's letting his previous snack now admire the fat he added, even the new tattoo he managed to get from it. Tails loves staring at that fatty gut, knowing he's going right back in later that same day.
(I'm not the biggest fan of digestion, but as long as respawning is included, it's fine. I prefer to think of it as absorption, meaning that digestion didn't happen.)
