I'm doing an OC countdown over on my DeviantArt, if anyone is wondering what's up with the number.
Ki'la is Alf's ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33678527/ ) wife and the mother of Malik( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33569236/ ). Two intelligent species live on their planet, Ki'la's from one, Alf's from the other. Ki'la's people tend to be viewed as primitive savages by Alf's kind, who are technologically advanced, but he didn't share that view. They met when he came to study her tribe.
Because of the difference in mouth shapes, it's almost impossible for them to speak each others languages. But they've learned to understand them perfectly well, and simply talk to each other in their own language.
