To be warlord is to hold absolute dominion over the lesser masses, both through intimidation and force alike. When Garesh ascended to the position of Warlord, he did so after slaying his previous warlord in his sleep, seizing the title for himself. Of course, when a warlord dies, his position is often hotly and fiercely contested and battled for among the masses. Of the hundreds upon hundreds of rats that fought for the position, it was Garesh who was left standing, his black-furred body utterly painted red with the blood of the fallen. With his position clear, Garesh got to work and wasted no time ordering only the best weaponry and armor to be assigned to his intimidating bulk, and being apart of Clan Ferrik, the biggest and best supplier of iron and steel in the Under-Empire, Garesh is outfitted in the best of the best. His armor and weapons are immaculate among Skaven standards, showing no rusts or impurities. Garesh takes extreme care in repairing and caring for his gear, as he fears any dents or impurities might be a sign of weakness of his position. Despite his tyrannical rule, there were and still are many underlings who desire his position, and Garesh is called 'the Flayer' for a reason. It is said that he slays so many challengers, that he commissions the skin and fur of the fallen to be used as new tapestries for the banners of the clan. After all, waste not want not.

I think I outdid myself with this one. This character was such a massive joy for me to create, model, and color in especially. I really enjoyed the color scheme and I think it fits Garesh very well!
