Some months or a year later, she works from home to avoid getting studied / pricked with needles etc. And in her leisure time, plays a lot of FPS game. :)

Kylee (the character in the pics) was a PhD student in mechanical engineering. Bit of a grease monkey, tough, swears a lot, has a nice left hook. Very gifted, very productive, and perhaps a bit too talented for her own good. She had been working on this machine as a research assistant. As the project neared completion, the engineers in charge started getting a bit worried that she knew too much about the designs.
Once the machine was complete, they sabotaged it, and called her in to do "repairs". Once she fixed the issue, it came online and started the transformation sequence on her. As first she was trying to shut it down carefully at the control panel, but as the tf progressed, she started to like the new form she was developing.
As it got her to the point of an anthro dingo, rather than continue trying to shut it down, she just broke the thing. 'Course this means she's gonna be stuck this way, but heck, she doesn't care. She likes the form. That said, she's *still* gonna go kick the ass of the ones who did this to her. XD You can imagine the doctors themselves are off-frame, observing the procedure, and getting rather nervous about their own safety when she suddenly breaks the thing and steps out--stronger, more aggressive, and with much sharper teeth. :3
The last pic is her, at home, months or a year later. She moved somewhere remote, and works from home on a variety of jobs as a designer. In her leisure time she's kicking your butt at some FPS. Primary class in team fortress 2 is an engineer, of course.
Her other leisure pursuits are the various experimental machines she develops in her basement, and constantly upgrading and modifying a rather sick home security system. =) She's over in Australia, somewhere. I imagine she had at least one or two friends a the university who helped her get established. No telling what became of the doctors who got her into this mess, but I imagine it wasn't pretty.

What do you mean by left hook? Also, was she just helping to build the machine, and did she have an idea of it's function? And I think I know what might have become of the scientists who did that to her: She beat them up, and/or fixed the machine and tested it out on them.
