Prince did it!
Here's the litter he and Cheets made. 18 babies! A fairly large litter but that's probably partly due to Cheets being so big :)
Unlike cornsnakes, KSB courtship is slooooooow. On the advice with breeders I actually housed Prince and Cheets together for a little while.
Now, I normally house all my snakes singly and would be REALLY WARY of housing two snakes with such a size difference together, but it's what experienced breeders said to do. But don't try this at home ;)
I'd check on them lots and every time Prince would be snuggled up beside her :) After about a month he stopped sticking to her like glue and I figured the season was over, and put him back in his normal home. 3-4 months after that, I check on Cheets and find a litter of landsharks!

Well when I checked on them they were all resting like this not moving. Presumably both because they were tired from being born and because that's where the heat pad is :)
After I took this photo I moved them all to individual containers in the baby rack
Then they shed, then I tried to pick them all out and put them together for one group shot before I gave them all separate ID numbers and by that time they were frisky and excited at all the activity and crawling around XD KSBs don't move /that/ fast but try keeping a group of 17 from all crawling away... nuh uhhh, wasn't happening!
I'd probably have to either leave them squished together under something for like 10 minutes or so until they decided to rest, but that seems kind of mean. And if I'd put them in something with raised sides so they wouldn't be able to crawl away... well that would have looked weird I think :P

So many babies awwww<33333
How long does it take them to start feeding? I've had my KSB baby for 6 months now, and it hasn't eaten anything. I've tried every single trick in the book, and the snake has shed twice...it's been stressing me out so much :/
Congrats on the big clutch c:

Oh err :/ Pretty much all snakes that I know of are ready to eat once they've had their first shed, including these guys. I have had some KSBs that were really hard to convince to eat though - I've usually ended up trading them after a few years, because I prefer to have vigorous snakes.
Some of my male snakes stop eating for a few weeks during breeding season, but none go 6 months? That's something I've only heard of ball pythons doing (and being okay)
Your baby has /never/ eaten anything in the time you've had it? Where did you get it from?
I can give you some more feeding tricks, but I dunno if you've tried them or not... one that would usually work for me was to get a brown paper bag + live pinky and leave them together for a few hours or overnight?

Yeah, that's generally what I've heard of. I got this guy early January and it hasn't eaten a single thing to this day. There's been some mild interest in the pinkies the last two times I've attempted to feed, but still nothing. I made the mistake of purchasing it from PetSmart, which was my fault completely. When I called them, they told me they had records of it eating "several" times while it was there....which I think is bullcrap.
I've tried braining, scenting, and even put it in a (clean) sock with the food item for about two hours and nothing. I've tried leaving the food item in the tank overnight, in a food dish, nothing. The only thing I HAVEN'T tried is live pinkies, because no pet stores around here ever have them. :/ But I'm thinking it might be time to get a breeder pair, despite my boyfriend being completely against the idea.

Erf, that sucks! ... yeah, I've heard horror stories about chain pet store reptile departments :/
I can't get too down on pet stores as some buy snakes from me and are careful about taking good care of them! But it depends a lot on the store. Some don't seem to care at all.
I'd really recommend trying a live pinky. The other thing is if you can figure out where the snake is without disturbing too much, try to carefully drag the pinky around near its head. They're sort of ambush predators, maybe that will trigger a feeding response.

Yeah, the pet store here in town takes excellent care of all their animals. And they won't sell an animal to someone if they don't know how to take care of it. I was actually there once when one of the owners said, no you know what, I can't sell you this animal. Sorry. I also have a kind of close relationship with them too though so :P Chains...not so much.
And I have done that, actually. Sometimes usually in the evening, her little head will be poking out to kind of see what's going on in the world. This is usually when I try to feed her. A couple times she's given "that look" like she was going to strike, but...nothing yet :/ I might just go ahead and get a pair of mice, then. I don't want her to die D:
