This is a concept that I've done twice before, both in 2010, one in May and another in June. But at the time there really wasn't anything behind it, it was just something to play around with: change the colors, throw in the Chaos Emeralds, for the fun of it. However, as time had passed, the idea still hung around, changed as well, and with new concepts, has a new identity.
Having inherited a small amount of magical power of his great-grandmother through his family tree, and being the one who had reactivated the Aurora Lights from their decades of dormancy, allowed that rush of energy to liberate him from Dr. Y's control, and transform into Halo Kye.
Halo Kye's body, very similar to that of a certain blue hedgehog, changes from its usual green color into a radiating gold color, his eyes from blue to red, angel's wings appear on his back, and a shining halo floats above his head. His attitude noticeably shifts to a far more serious tone, becoming seemingly laser-focused on the situation at hand, and becoming rather untalkative and letting his actions speak for him instead. Kye's senses are heightened, allowing him to react far quicker to things around him, accompanied by increased speed and strength, invincibility, flight, and the ability to freely use more magic- and energy-based attacks.
He can only assume this form with the power of all eight Aurora Lights at his disposal, and because of his limited magical powers, he is unable to hold this form for a long period of time; the inabliity to balance his natural magic powers with the incredibly high magical intake of the Aurora Lights means he'd tire out quickly. This form is also not recommened to be held for very long either, as the Aurora Lights directly influence and control all matters of life on Ioa, and using too much of their energy can visibly impact life on the planetoid.
Thankfully however, the Aurora Lights are still under heavy containment beneath the Silver Tower, away from anyone who can reach them.
