Yes, similar to what I had done earlier in the year with Rae and Chocolate, I took the art I had done for my Yoshi and retrofitted it for Cinnamon, with the same reason I had done for the former: as time went on, I had grown to dislike the original drawing I had done. So while I don't enjoy the idea of reusing art like this, I was really proud of my sketch of Doughshi and felt that if there's anyone who deserves to have it reused again, it was Cinnamon.
So let's try this again. What made this so quick was simply using tracing paper over the original sketch of Doughshi to create the shape and outfit that Cinnamon would wear, and then coloring over that and the file of Doughshi's body. Once the hair was removed and everything was tweaked, the rest of the body could be colored in appropriately. It didn't take much time to do at all, and all of these outfits were done before work one day. So with that said...
1️⃣ Rainbow Scale • While Cinnamon's colors across her body remain unchanged, one new addition is the middle scale, which is now a rainbow just like Doughshi's. Its presence, which is still mostly a mystery on Ioa, is due to the user having multiple forms they can take on, and that's also its ability. Unlike Doughshi, Cinnamon only has one, a Kangaskhan. Once again, the Rainbow Scale allows her to change between any form it "saves," and can "acquire" those forms if something comes in direct contact with the scale. Cinnamon can then transform into those forms at will, so long as the Rainbow Scale is on her body; specifically, due to her malleable body, it is possible to remove it and prevent her from using it. This also means that no matter what form she's in, there is always a part of the body that is rainbow, even if it's a small portion.
2️⃣Outfits • Similar to Doughshi, I only created one outfit for this reference, but reusing art also meant that all of the layers for the original file were compatible, so I decided that, despite Cinnamon's preferences in apparel and style, she could reuse some of Cookie's outfits for herself, as shown here.
👓 Eyewear • Cinnamon wears only one pair of glasses, a frameless wide rectangular pair with a black nosepiece connecting the lenses. Unlike Doughshi or Mac, her eyesight is not as bad as the boys, so she has an easier time seeing long-distance and can spend time with them off.
🧣 Neckwear & Body • This pastry usually enjoys wearing something classy and proper to match her demeanor, but her usual attire is a pair of cream-white heels and a light pink ribbon tied around her waist to become a bow right behind her tail, and meeting on a golden ring on her front. However, she might also match up with Doughshi in at least two of his own outfits: a collar and a jacket. The collar serves the same functions as Doughshi's, utilizing a little charmed speaker in the tag to communicate when she physically cannot and a tiny portion of Reform Potion to help fix her up in a pinch. Her tag is gold and displays the glyph of an open book, one of her favorite things (eagle-eyed viewers will also see this is the same shape as the Books app in iOS). Instead, she might also wear a jacket in the same light pink as her ribbon. Whichever one she chooses, she has a watchband and pair of arched shoes matching them. The collar and arched shoes may come in a few different colors, such as green or cream-white. Cinnamon's ribbon also doesn't have a very good place for the presence of the Royal Emblem, so this is the only instance where she would place it on her head scale, like what Minnie does. Additionally, the Royal Emblem is on the jacket, but because of the large hood resting over the shoulders, it's blocked from view.
⌚️ Watch • A keen eye will tell you exactly what that is on his wrist, but it's also modified and designed by Mac, capable of providing more functions, mainly relative to the Rainbow Scale. Like a certain other smartwatch, the bands can be interchanged to different colors or materials, such as a polyurthane silicone perfect for outdoors on warm days, or a woven nylon when it's not worrisome to get dirty. The body is strengthened considerably to handle any of the squishings that Cinnamon might endure. The smartwatch includes additional apps designed by Mac to help visualize the forms acquired by the Rainbow Scale, as well as switching between them, but again, if the Rainbow Scale is removed from the body, these functions stop working.
You can also read the full description for Cinnamon here, but should it be requested, I will move it here. I hope that next time I draw Cinnamon, it won't be reusing older artwork but instead something newer and original. This also may very well be the last time I use this layout for a reference, which may sound odd when I've only done it twice, but these images are way too big for their own good. I did it this way because I was so proud of all of the work I put into making these references that I didn't want to cut anything off; I wanted the whole thing to be seen in its entirety, but I think that just made it harder to actually see. So I apologize in advance if that's the case, but going forward, I think there's gonna be some fixing up.
Anyway, thank you for looking and reading! Merry Christmas as well, and a Happy New Year! 🎄
