Anyway, I've been mulling over and designing an Inkblot version of Rigby. I...
Made him kinda like an older character of mine, named coincidentally, Toon Rig.
The gimmick behind him (for now anyway) is that he's usually looking for a home. However, no one wants to adopt him. (C'mon, seriously?! SERIOUSLY?! WHO WOULDN'T WANT A CUTE LITTLE RACCOON DOG?! LOOK AT HOW CUTE I AM! Err, I mean, how cute he is.)
He often has to disguise himself as a dog (or other animal) to get adopted. This, uh, usually never works. 😬 (Well, for long, anyway.)
Often when he gets adopted, it's to do some kind of seemingly easy job until it isn't and then it's back out on the streets again... Yay. 😑 Usually this involves babysitting some brat. (It's always the kids that land me back there... 😔)
At some point, Warner Bros. (The company, not the... puppy-cat things) "adopt" (read: hire) him (finally) to watch the Warner Bros. (& sister, Dot). Of course; get a toon to keep three other toons out of trouble! What's the worst that could happen- Oh, no. OH NO. I INVOKED THE MARMEL EFFECT!
THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME, AREN'T THEY?
(The Marmel Effect (named after Steve Marmel) is a running gag in cartoons in which they ask "What could possibly go wrong?" or "What's the worst that could happen?" and the worst thing possible happens. 🙃 That... might not be his joke, but I'm not crediting Bitch Fartman for ANYTHING.)
Another common running gag(?) with him is that he keeps mentioning how Disney keeps trying to sue him over his ears (they're round like Mickey's, so of course he's a knock-off of him... 🙄)
Retro!Rigby is supposed to be about 15 or so? Judging by how skinny his is. Though, if he's from the 30's, he'd be more in his 90's now, right? Geez, a geezer watching geezers. How fun will that be? Making sure they don't choke on their oatmeal? 😆
Yes, they invented emo bangs and Letterman jackets back in the '30's! Of course! Of course! Haha!
