My Little Pony Friendship is Magic has a lot of good lessons to teach, but unfortunately it also sometimes conveys some very unhealthy messages. I feel that one of those was having the Changelings change appearance when they had a change of heart. It's an old and nasty idea that "ugly" equals bad and "pretty" equals good. I found Thorax incredibly sweet and adorable when he first appeared, and was dissapointed when he changed in appearance later on. This could have been a great way for the show to teach the lesson of not judging someone by their physical appearance, a lesson that our world very clearly needs as you can look around and still see so much hatred based on people's skin color, age, gender expression, etc. So, because of all this, I wanted to do a changeling body positivity image featuring the little cutie himself, Thorax. :)
