Alright, a new gain in our Myre concept sketchbook. :D
Mostly the concepts you see here will almost 100% appear in the graphic novel "Myre".
I thought about some landscapes and came up with some housing of people who live abroad large cities.
Since the landscape is nearly dead or meager, people are mostly settling where is plenty of water available. Often they settle inbetween moist cliffs, abysses or dig very deep to be close to the ground water.
In some areas, people need to protect themselves from the creatures and dragons which live in their harsh nature. Therefore they have to live either up high or very deep in the ground. Some of them carved their houses deep in stone to build kind of a fortress.
If you travel on the ground, you need to make sure to have a mount with which you come forward very quickly or walk in the shadows. Of course, some parts of the world are friendly such as in cities and where people live or small villages in the greener areas. Not all dragons and creatures seek you for their lunch though but the best is always to be careful and observe your surrounding.
I somehow love making concepts as they are a great base to come up with new ideas which will bring you a step closer to the storyline. (;
Thanks a lot for looking. ^^

buh... Gorgeous use of light here. I tend to over shade and forget to use the natural white of the paper to my advantage sometimes but you seem to use it to your full advantage :D
also I wouldn't want to live anywhere near those mountains on the top right image... a sudden tremor and that whole part of the left peak would come crashing down. D:
