This was just too easy. For weeks, he had studied the patterns of the guards, making note of their every move, so he would know where to go and when. He had already been in the building for five minutes and didn't see a single guard, yet. That fact, alone, should have alarmed him, but he simply took it as good luck. His luck was about to change, though. If only he had know he wasn't the first one there.

The formless creature wiggled and wobbled in anticipation as its thick body oozed over the ledge it was waiting on. It had already engulfed the two guards that were on patrol and, by the looks of things, it was about to have yet another meal, tonight. All it had to do was let gravity do its thing, and the prey was as good as slimed.
