This little guy is a species placeholder, so I can drop some details on the cute little fellows.
Our featured guy here -and first formal member of his kind- Peltin, already has a nice home with
Booknut ^w^
Some basic Garden Bogwoggle Species Info (Probably more to come in the near future):
- Diminutive/Small Fey
- Born from eggs that resemble acorns
- Fully mature in a single season
- Average 5.5"-8" tall at full maturity
- Unknown lifespan
- Typically solitary (due to hostile, competitive, and territorial behavior over food sources)
Garden variety Bogwoggles get their namesake from their favored habitats. They enjoy making their homes in the proximity of large gardens, often claiming them as their own. In residential areas, a single garden bogwoggle can easily pick a garden clean over the course of a week before migrating on in search of a new garden. However, in return for its rampant theft, the bogwoggle will chase away more dangerous critters such as spiders, snakes, hornets, and the like during their stay.
In many areas, garden bogwoggles are considered good luck and are held in graceful regard as little household defenders. It is common practice in these areas to provide treats for the bogwoggles, in attempt to coax them to stick around even after a garden has been picked clean.
