I honestly didn't feel all that bothered to make something like this, but after thinking about it, decided to just go ahead and do so, if to show just how much I have done over the year.
January: I still find myself liking the first render I've done for this year, along with testing out the rig I got as well. I was quite surprised on how fast the Eevee rendering option was able to work. Some hoops to jump through yeah, but this is still visually pleasing to this day.
February: Was testing water effects primarily, with the help of some splash props I got my hands on. Made a rather interesting end result.
March: Not much going on for this month for me to pick, so just went with the Birthday render for the sake of representing my birth month.
April: This is where I decided to pick up the pace, starting with the acquisition of some models. Xinaosura here is one of them, belonging to TerusTheSecretaryBird , and this was an attempt of having this fakemon to its natural scale. I did get my hands on a couple others past this one, but this one stood out the most since I liked what all I learned about the big ol' space bug and what I made related to them.
May: One of the more experimental-ish renders, of a structure of globes thanks to seeing one image of a type of aquarium. This render sticks out due to how damn long it took to render, counting retries. -n-;
This is also the same month that I dumped DA, with them having rolled out a UI change so drastic that it alienated virtually everybody that uses a desktop, myself included. I still check on it from time to time, but since then, I've started posting only to here, leaving my DA to basically rot.
June: The month where I actually started putting effort, Fizz here being the result of said initiative.
July: The first instance of the 'Small Scrin' shtick. I haven't really made progress since the initial few I made, but still kind of smile when I think back to 'em of sorts.
August: Just a little something I made in response to something that one friend does to me when we talk. Decided to visualize it with the render chosen for this month.
September: More models have been made in the month that I acquired the 'cuga model shown there, primarily those centered around weapons and such.
October: The...least productive month in my opinion. Went into one hell of a slump at the beginning of it, enough so that I didn't enjoy making stuff for a good few weeks. >~>;
November: A showcasing of some of the stuff I have managed to make over the year at that point, culminating with the group of items shown in the chosen render.
December: Bit of a meh month, and hopefully the new year could be better. I'd have to knock on wood daily to maintain that thought though.
And yeah, that count in the upper-right isn't a lie. I'm surprised that I even managed to make that many renders over the course of this year, let alone at that kind of rate. The batches may come at a snail's pace, but it's so that I don't end up flooding people's inboxes with just single images like how I used to do years ago. I always have to deal with the thought that I'm somehow degrading in my works, but yet this kind of shows that to be a bit of a lie. I do hope that I can further improve my skills and creative processes so that I can get more interesting designs done.
