A little comic of mine, based on the Dunning-Kruger effect that I first heard from DamaiMikaz in one of her status posts, speculating on the growth of an artist; starting off feeling proud of accomplishing what they've drawn and eventually begin to humble themselves as they continue and get better. And let me tell you, we've all been there! I've experienced it myself, and I still am.
We all started off with little to no experience and yet we felt pride in what we were doing, because we didn't have much art knowledge, but as our skills begin to develop, we start being more critical about our own work, even though in the eyes of other people, they think it looks amazing.
It goes to show that we're never gonna be fully satisfied with what we're doing. Honing on a certain skill (like drawing) is like climbing a never ending mountain. When we reach a checkpoint, we can feel satisfied by what we've done and the distance we've climbed, but there's still a long way ahead and we must continue to climb and do even better than what we did before.
I could've gone the obvious route and have the 2nd panel have me be like "What the heck is this?", but that's already been done a million times before!
