This is my half of a neopets art trade with 
c-o! You can see the (much better) piece they did for me here. Hope you like it!
The idea in my head was that Harriq was injured but out of supplies, and then comes his petpet! Probably a little more dramatic with the lighting than I really meant it to be.
This was a very experimental piece for me. I tried a whole BUNCH of stuff I'd never done before. Some of it worked and some of it didn't. I suppose it's something to keep in mind for next time. The composition didn't turn out as well as I would have liked, but that's art, I suppose.
And in case it wasn't obvious somehow, they're underwater.
Sketched on paper with blue, red, and grey lead, then taken into Photoshop where the red and blue sketchbits were removed, leaving just the grey single lines I traced over the sketch. I didn't ink it, and moved straight to colouring from there with mixed results.

I really LOVELOVELOVE it, the lightning is perfect, I love how illuminated Nonin is, and the texture... I'm speechless, so I'll just say I LOVE it... a lot ♥
Actually I don't have a story of how he met Nonin, but you interpretation is so cute I want to add it to his story, can I?

I'm really glad you like it, I was worried. And certainly, I don't mind if you use my idea! I was just trying to think of a nice scene to do and this seemed sweet and adorable. Trading was fun, we should do it again sometime!! Thank you for making an exception for me, I hope you don't regret it, haha!
