Yup I've come up with yet another alien species. This time one inspired while watching an LP of Super Mario Sun Shine. Boys and girls meet Tuya. Tuya here is an example of one of two species native to his home world of Taquan. The Aquok are an amphibious species that live primarily along the shores and in the choral reefs of their homeworld. They're quite a social species and tend to live in large communities. Aquok are superb swimmers with or without their shells. The shells actually aren't from them though. The shell is that of a large species of sea snail that the Aquok have bread for the purpose of collecting their discarded shells. The shells come in various shapes and sizes to fit any Aquok and come in various colors. Your average shell also has a few features inside. Such as being lined with a soft foam material and a layer of cloth over that for comfort. There's also a hatch that can be placed over the entrance to keep sound and such out. Aquok typically sleep in these but also use them for carrying around various items that they may need through out the day. An interesting thing about Aquok is their bones. Their bones are actually quite flexible much like cartilage. So they can easily bend and get through tight spaces if they have to. Their tails are quite strong and able to not only propel them easily through the water but also support their weight plus that of their shell when out of water. Although usually their tails are held up around their shells to give it extra support while on land. Socially they're quite communal and have many holidays they celebrate. They're also fine builders. Their the best Architects on the planet.
Tuya here is a young Aquok who is pretty much your average kid. He loves playing games with his friends and exploring some new part of a reef or just wondering about exploring in general. He's a curious kid who never refrains from asking a question. As for his diapers well it's really not that uncommon on their world. It's far more convenient for them then a restroom which would need to accommodate an awkward shell. That plus the Aquok tend to be slower on land so reaching one would also prove more difficult. So many choose to instead simply wear a diaper and a water proofed cover. Which is what Tuya is wearing here. His cover ensures that no sea water will soak his diaper when he goes for a swim and that he won't leave any yellow puddles or such when he's on land.
