When I first drew Starcatchers 5 or 6 years ago, They were these really weird Pokemon-esque frankenmammals that wore the charred remains of their ancestors' skulls (HAHAHA CUBONE) during the dawn to protect their faces from burning stars as they caught them. I have no idea what I was originally thinking with the weird wings. They had scales on the lower half of their body that had special qualities that could refract the light around them and make them appear transparent. (I...guess their fur did, too?)

They lost some of their silly crap as time went on, but their lower half still has scales.
