I waited till Jan 3rd to draw this for a special reason. over 9 years ago today I was watching youtube videos and watching warrior cats and AMV's and had an obsession with the band Evanescence when I had the sudden idea to make an OC based off the edgy depressing writings that was the late 2000's- early 2010's brand of characters. Hence Emo was created. A character that I did not expect was going to take on the roles she does now. Out of all my OC's Emo is the one who has had the most of trouble and character development changes. From her starting off as Bowser's minion who considered herself a rebel who hated Mario to her eventual evolution with Evil Emo (who would later become Scar) to the inclusion of Steve and how the two of them formed as a couple. To Emo ending herself in a trouble situation in the first draft of Apoc before I dropped the toad forms entirely.
Which leads us to now. Emo is still the main character of Apoc and has been resettled entirely. She still shows her pride as an angel and is highly supportive of her now family I made for her and Steve both. Shes someone who cares about the others around, despite her mistakes and flaws she makes along the way, and I can't wait to see to continue building her as a main character as she continues improving herself and fading from her past.
