Illustrator's damn fun to use once you figure out a few tricks.

That's pretty pleasing to look at, but then it makes me think about this age's animation obsession with Flash.

...not that the program can't be used effectively in an artful, sophisticated manner. I've seen two good examples of how tweening can look good--one was a music video that I can't remember the name of, and the few times I've seen Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends were pretty impressive.

A lot of the lesser examples can become lazy-looking though.. or wiggly cut-outs sliding over the background layer. c.c;;

Or manic, flashing collages of stupid internet crap.

I love how this came out. The stripes, the no-border design...Dammit, I forgot what its called, but I love lookin' at it.

It's good to see someone maintaining a sense of their own art style when using Illustrator. Without caution it can strip away all that makes your art really sing down to a few vectorized inhumanly perfect lines.

Keep it loose and you'll find that it's an awesome tool.

God DAMN, okay, I can't hold this in any longer: This character creeps the _fuck_ out of me, and I don't even know why!! o_@ She looks innocent enough, I don't know what it is! The tigerstripe-to-strange-quasi-bats pattern shirt? the way that she doesn't convey any emotion and seems like a swirling black vortex of utter time-based destruction? What is it?! TELL ME YOU BASTARD!!!

*huff* Er, ah. Sorry about that. But wow. I didn't know how powerful subtle designs could be until I saw this character. She freaks me out. Great design, wonderful rendition, but holy smack-a-dackeral.

I'm very glad that she freaks you out--that's about the best compliment I can get since she's designed for just that.

Now, when she starts showing up in nightmares, be sure to tell me.
