Meet Hou! I wasn't planning to keep any babies from Prince x Cheets' litter, but this girl was irresistible :) I think it was meant to be.
For starters, when I sorted out the babies I only found 17, all together in the pile you saw in the photograph. I carefully combed through all of Cheets' tank to see if there were any rovers I missed, but didn't find any...
About a week later, I spot an orange speckled thing in the corner of the snakeroom. !!! I couldn't quite believe it, but there was a KSB baby out and about, chilling in the corner of the room!!
I figured one of the babies must have gotten out, somehow, but I checked through all the bins and they were all there. Next I combed through Cheets' tank again, and found one shed baby skin. So I musta missed Hou (short for Houdini, heh), somehow, and Hou musta gotten out, somehow, and yet miraculously I found her.
Not only that, but she was one of the best feeders of the litter (readily takes f/t, has never refused - vs at least half of them wanted live at first) AND the brightest orange.
Still I had her up for sale with the rest. Then the breeder I got her dad from comes by and looks at my babies and points her out and says "If these were mine, that'd be a keeper!" Ahhhh, it was too much! She's too special to sell :B
So instead she's in my shirt right now.

If they bite, it's usually only when they think somethings threatening them (like fingers touching them/reaching for them)
The bigger danger is of the snake going poop, as they seem to like to do once they're in a new place but feeling pretty secure, but that's not so much a problem with KSBs. They're dessert critters and don't seem to poop nearly so much.
Hou is fantastic in all ways though :) She's quite mellow and doesn't seem to mind being handled.

Taming = handle them lots when young (though not right after they eat cuz the excitement can make 'em puke, which is hard on them!)
Most snakes might be a little twitchy at first but will quickly get used to handling. There's variation though, just like people. Some seem especially mellow right off the bat, and some particularly high strung and never really seem to like being held.
It's harder if they're an adult and never been held much. Like most critters they're more adaptable when young.
