Ah, it's alright. I don't think FA supports transparent backgrounds on icons. :P

I'm pretty sure they do, actually. I'd swear I've seen others with 'em. I think if you convert it to GIF, it'll keep the transparency -- transparent PNG has issues here when it gets resized or translated into other formats (like whatever they use for thumbnails, for example).

Blah, but GIFs destroy images and leave them flattened. I'd rather just keep the black background.

Well, yeah, but for a 100x100 icon, it's hard to tell the difference 'tween a GIF and a PNG. ;)

I can tell.. Heh, I think that's the bad part about being the artist of a piece. You can always tell when a format does something to your work...

True that. Heck, with the paws I just colored, I can totally see how horrible the scan is compared to the original art, even at high res. And how the shading and scales are mostly lost in the 100x100. I was like, feh, why did I post this junk. ;)

Hmm, actually, now that I think of it, the transparent version of your icon would probably be camouflaged against the default grey background FA is showing me. Hmm, now I wonder if there's a way to change that color... *goes to poke at FA*

The only other one I attend regularly is the local one, RMFC (Denver). There's a remote chance I'll attend FC ... I have friends out there I haven't seen in ages. :/
