Twenty eight thousand words. That's how big this "little" project that I intended to use as an aside from the long IZ episodes turned out to be - but I enjoyed the change of style, writing team-versus-team games and the friendly rivalry that goes with them a lot, so this story's been optimistically subtitled "Episode 1" in anticipation that I'll write more of it at some point in the future. I hope people enjoy this alternative just as much :)
Cleanup Crew would be shown as part of a larger Saturday morning magazine show, in the style of Run the Risk - it was originally meant to have an environmental theme to it, hence the name, but the theme didn't come out as strongly as I'd thought and it needs some adjustment (appropriately, for a story about a pilot show). And the intro has an honest-to-God Gilligan cut in it, which I'm aware is such a cliche‚ but I didn't dislike it enough to rewrite it!

susi and was a lot of fun to write with :) After not deciding on a main character until very late on, I also found myself really liking Heather once I'd come up with her. I did try to put in some explanation as to why she's a hedgehog but her dad's a mouse, but I couldn't do it smoothly, and I'm now just hoping that people will automatically assume that she got both her species and color from her mother. Furry biology - it makes sense if you don't think about it. At all.

You're welcome! He turned out to be a great fit for that fourth character slot that I had open, and I'm glad I could give him the opportunity to take part :) I found myself really liking all the characters that I put into here and how they all worked together, after a long time with just placeholder names... as well as how the versus games turned out to write. I've already started sketching out scenes for a second one...
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) Personally, what I really loved writing was the girls' game near the start, with Jenna and Vicky in the booths - my favorite scenario of relying on someone else to save you is even more enjoyable to write when that rescue comes at the expense of someone else! And I was on a bit of a feline kick when I started writing this... I tend to go through phases like that sometimes :) There are still a couple of story ideas with Rachel from IZ1 that sprang up about that time and have yet to be written... maybe they'll see the light of day eventually ;)
I also read one of your earlier ones with Angela. Vicky and Angela so far are the only ones truly excited about the slime and do not freak out at all about it. They are a lot braver than the majority of the lot that come on these shows. I have been reading a lot, gaining interest in your work.
