Sol as a part of an art trade with the lovely Nekophoenix!
Initially I was going to draw their White Cat character, then realized part way through that I didn't have enough colours to do them justice. I was also going to use coloured pencil as lineart, but chickened out hahaha.
Sol is such a vibrant character tho! I'm not that great at males, so it was nice to give him a go. Used reference for the pose, and am very glad I had xD

Also, I love that you didn't have enough colours for a WHITE cat - irony aside (or, included?), I completely understand that feeling haha!
This is SO dynamic and full of joy and energy which is totally what Sol's all about. You've detailed his markings beautifully; he looks like an equalizer graphic and I'm all for it! The light aqua clouds go so well with his warm, fiery colour scheme, and make him feel like he's jumping ever higher! Love that you've made subtle reflections of that colour on his body.
I am immediately drawn to that big floofy tail - you've given it such weight with your shading choices - it really looks thick and luxurious and as if you'd be knocked on your ass with one swipe from it hahaha
