I like the character concept, and I think the art looks very good.

So he's something like a Physical Adept character. (From the Shadowrun cyberpunk RPG.)

The faith is strong.
The physical strength is strong, but is interesting if there is not defense for the magic.
Though the flinging oneself at the enemy war is pride, he loses magic and hypnosis immediately.
