Artist's Notes:
Okay, I really dont know where to begin with this one honestly, I started this in reference to everything going on in the world, and how I was feeling about Corona and how the world feels like its an apocolypse land, and the flower is supposed to represent how even in the worst of times there is a chance for rebirth. But then yesterday happened, and now I'm all confused, and confounded and if it didnt feel like an apocolypse now, I dont know what else could possibly make the world feel like it.
My original idea for this picture was that ( and I was going to write a huge short story about it, now I dont have the mental ability to do so sadly :( ) Kou had been wandering in her territory and found a flower that was trying to survive, and struggling, and she used it as a moment to reflect on the world around her kind of thing, but eh.
This took 3 days to do, as yesterday I took a break while I was coloring it, and my idea for the half background was basically that Kou is in her own little world away from everyone and everything with this flower. The detail, and everything I put into it, is the most I've done ever I think in a drawing or image. And I am pretty proud of how it came out, yeah there are some rough edges that I missed and what have you but I'm still learning, and thats whats important.

Edit: I fixed the wonky top corner that was a point xD I couldnt stare at it anymore. LMAO.
