Inspired by The Thing comic Laura/Lora the Saber Of Blood decided to create an unit based on Pybus-Thing from the comic. After finding remains of Dominion Troopers one day, the idea grew with details. Knowing nature of Pybus-Thing in action, she went revolutionary with infesting a target. How? Instead of a corpse, she infested only an outfit. This way, she made great espionage unit that will attack next Dominion Troopers squads from within, just like Pybus-Thing in comic killed almost whole Navy Seal squad Pybus worked in before he got infected.

Rubybrood Zerglings became powerful melee units, almost versatile even, with bone-like thick armor, strong blades on their backs and increased senses, to scales similiar to those of arachnids. Usually, these particular Zerglings gives new horrors to desert areas they took over certain time before.
