This was a good distance from the house, near the parking lot. Don't know when this was built, but it's made of the same stone as the house was. I'm guessing there must have been a mill nearby, as no dam this large is usually built out in the country except to power a mill. Looks like it was still in use at least until the 1920's, since it was shored up with concrete on a few sections. Concrete wasn't used a lot in rural areas until the 1920s. I didn't see any mill remnants still standing. The pond was a shallow one. Looked like when it was full of water it would've only been 2-3 feet deep.
