For our adventure stream format we play a game each Monday until we beat it, followed by a piece of art related to our experience. We just finished "Closure" a game where you play as a kinda spider demon thing and traverse through people's minds and experience their traumas. The world is a void, literally nothing exists. Nothing that is, except what the light touches. If you step out of the safe glow you fall into darkness. The artstyle is interesting too with only black and white (with only a slight bit of grey) so I took efforts to match the style with my piece. Shortly after we beat the game I had someone bring up the speedrun for the game is pretty empty. So I grinded it out a little bit and submitted a world record time for the any% category. Waiting on approval currently!
The next game in our series is "Rain World" where you play as a cute slugcat who uses your spear to safely explore the dangerous world. It looks like a mix between Ori and Hollow Knight with a couple of other twists.
