okay so this is for a contest that
growly is holding and I felt like giving it a shot and it kinda got outta hand ._.
but it came out really cool and I really like how it turned out (as opposed to my general indifference or silently hating I have with my other stuff :B )
I also got to use watercolors again after idk how long but its been a while :D
and I like that what little skill I had didn't degrade over the period of disuse and make it look like crap! C:
I suppose there is a story of sorts behind the characters but long story short, the little lady likes supernatural stuff and that blue dog thing....is like...uh. like a supernatural. yeah why not.
THERE'S MORE TO IT I'M JUST LAZY.
okay thats all I got to say.
Characters (Growly and Bounder) are belong to

I don't know what to say! I am utterly FLOORED by this beautiful painting! The colors are absolutely stunning, and I love the mysterious and magical atmosphere. You've also captured Bounder's role as a sort of guide very well I think! I love love love this and I am very honored that you entered my contest! Thank you!
FFFFFFFFFFFFF intimidated by watercolors? why :U
they aren't hard to use, but they can be a bit difficult at times because they sometimes don't do what you want them to.
use thicker paper (paper made especially for watercolors will probably work best) because thinner paper wrinkles fast :V
oh and work from light to dark. meaning start with your light colors and then move to the darker colors. you wanna do this because watercolors are rather opaque and you can't really get your highlights back after you've painted over them with a darker color :B
and don't rely too much on black. especially with shading. using black alone for shading just doesn't look good :B mix it up a bit. I generally only use a little bit of black when shading. and even then its mixed with other colors.
I'm probably not the best person to ask though, because I don't really think I know that much about watercolors lol

WAAAAH, I am so glad I am not the only one that Hasn't really been doing art! I haven't done anything SERIOUS or any fine arts for that matter! My friend did recommend that I start using something called Posemaniacs to start off with smaller figure sketches. That should get me in the groove and maybe I'll do some pen drawings! Colored pencil is my homedawg and pencil is too!
When I don't exactly do art, I write in my sketchbook like a diary!
