I really liked the cats from "Loyalty & Liberty" by http://wingedsiamese.deviantart.com/ and wanted to try one of my own, call it "fan art". :D I didn't know how daunting a task the uniform would be until I started on it, I had no idea what territory he was from or what regiment he was in (nor what options i had to choose from), or how Meezer would make an American fellow dress. Unfortunately my internet was out for two weeks and i had no uniform or weapon references to work from, so please excuse all the inaccuracies and absence of firearm. I think of him as a guy who ran away to join the American army, who hadn't a uniform so he stole the tailcoat from the dead body of his fellow armyman (to be able to display his patriotism, of course). The Stamp Act thing was a good way to show his rebellious side, since he is a printer and those taxes he would've heavily fought against, probably even leading the angry riot with a barrel of bubbling tar in one paw and a crate of feathers in the other paw. The cat shown here is Reggy Rue, he is based upon the cat I had when I was growing up, a rough and rugged street-fighting territorial cat who had a soft spot for his humans.
