Whoever he's looking at, he's not pleased with them.

Ironically, I think those most willing to follow and obey his every command would be exactly the same sort of people he would despise the most--the gullible, the weak-minded, the easily corruptible, the self-righteous, and those whose blind faith and devotion would cause them to reject reality in favor of their faith and beliefs.
He'd regard them as little better than parasites, and at best, disposable objects to be used and cast away once their usefulness to him has been exhausted.

As such, he's probably always barely hiding his cold contempt for those church elders that come before him, acting out their foolish rituals and traditions and worshiping him as divinity... although he probably likes the worship and slavish devotion just a little bit...

If you can't tell, with him I'm playing with themes of the church and organized religion being negative forces, corrupt and self-righteous and built from the ground up as a means of controlling people for the benefit of those at the top.
