yeah my frankenstein engine love JDM, and for those that wonder why it is called a frankenstein it is because this engine doesn't really exist, it's a B20Z base with a B16A1 head fixed to it, the B20 being the biggest B serie engine but never been sold with a VTEC, it's now a pretty popular head swap giving about the same performances than a type R B18C5 with a bit more torque for a quarter of the price
so that's my new ride, it is a 99' honda CR-V, jdm SIR head, type-R cams/valve train/clutch, 2"1/2 exhaust from the down pipe to the exhaust tip with a high flow cat
I'll be riding it to anthrocon, it is surprisingly a lot bigger in the inside than my dad's cherokee o.o
p.s.: engine bay is not so clean, and no I won't clean it, around here it is totally useless our roads are complete mess and winter driving is even worst

yeah, it's about the same as a LS/VTEC, the base of non vtec b series usually got higher compression it's not that fast tho, cr-v are AWD so they lost some power having to a driveshaft and a rear axel to roll and it's way heavier than a civic is, that engine in a hatchback striped civic would make high 13 on the 1/4 mile
cause I hate american car and I like honda, need a car with more space than a civic does(going to conventions with 2-3 fursuit in the trunk), a AWD is really fun when you got 6 months long winter and it does 24mpg on mixed driving with some light abuse, I bought it that way for the same price as a normal CR-V in this condition worth
just don't like big heavy cars with pretty much no handling and the attitude of the owners that think they are faster than everyone(usually those are driving early 90's mustang GT with only an exhaust on it), I dont say I hate all of the american car, just don't like most of them
thanks^^ indeed it was me at AC, I'm pretty sure I was the only one there with a tuned cr-v sure they are usually every day normal guy's car, witch kind of surprise me since it's so close of the civic and integra, most of the parts are the same, I'd have tho that every kids who want a honda without going with a over played civic of integra would end up building a cr-v xD
