I think Paipu smashed the microphone in his hand so that the audience wouldn't hear anything else about what Snuggly was telling him about the embarrassing incident on stage. However, the damage has already been done and I think that will be the end of Snuggly's career. Also, wait a minute, why did Paipu still have the microphone when he and Snuggly were in the corridor? I don't get it.

Remember though, this is the past. We saw earlier in the comic that she was still on the stage, and loved by the crowd. Which means she'll somehow manage to get back on her feet.

Yes, I know. My comment had to do with what was shown on this page, plus the previous ones, regarding what happened to Snuggly and Sleepy.

Actually she wore the mic alongside the head with an earbud going into her ear. But yeah, she did forget to take it off and perhaps also forgot to turn it off.

Oops! Sorry. I hadn't noticed that, on the fourth panel, Paipu had taken away the microphone that Snuggly still had at that moment.

Snuggly's tantrum caused her to out herself. So all that negative attention Paipu drew away from her was for naught. Doesn't look like he cares about what Snuggly thought of him as long as she stayed true to his teachings. And unfortunately what she did could very well be the thing that ruins her career now that the facade is gone. Her future lies with whatever fans remain of the Doable Dolls.

Er, provided Paipu doesn't do to her what he did to that microphone -- but it doesn't seem like it's in his character, so, let's see if there's a powerful lecture in him that can get her down to earth. Otherwise... hoo boy.

I love how Paipu, despite being heavily insulted by Snuggly, still cares about her to the point he broke her mic so she wouldn't expose herself even more instead of actually answering to her insults. He puts her interests above his.

Whoa. Very intense and dramatic page. Paipu didn't have to break apart Snuggly's microphone to pieces. That thing must be rather expensive.

But wow, Snuggly is in such more full rage at Paipu at what happened, with the bare fangs and drooling saliva flowing out! Yeah, so she is not actually anything like in her real life as she acts like in the public, as it is illustrated in her mean insulting temper tantrum. She doesn't seem very nice and had to thoughtlessly lash out at Paipu and insult the audience!!!! What a terrible and embarrassing no-no. Paipu was concerned that people may have heard Snuggly's livid insults over the mic, which would ruin her image if they found out what she is like.

Actually, he did all this for you, Snuggly: if you failed alone no one would have remembered your exibition. But doing that, all the blame for the poor result would go to him, and everyone would be wondering how would have been the Doable Doll performance without the creepy crossdressed male cougar.

Snuggly looks scary when angry. I can see why she was mad though. It was supposed to be the greatest night of her life with Sleepy and everybody let her down. Sleepy got nervous and got sick when she needed her the most. Paipu, despite his best intentions, humiliated her by crossdressing and singing with her, and the audience didn't appreciate her singing for two just because Sleepy wasn't with her. I can see why Snuggly snapped like that despite still being on stage.
Props to Paipu. He's pissed after Snuggly insults him, but he's not mad at the slurs she throws at him. He's mad because she carelessly destroyed her image with that tantrum by keeping her microphone on. The way he snatches her microphone speaks of the disappointment he feels at her for forgetting his teachings while trying to salvage some of her dignity.

Paipu may had made things worst trying to help her. But if she had a chance to save her career... well let's just say now that she showed her true colors, Snuggly's career is totally over;

Let's just hope her partner manages to stay away from this mess and manages to keep her own career, even with Snuggly destroying hers.
