So the Pink Panther did not realize there was a bee sharing the transporter pod with him! No, seriously. At the end of the 1978 cartoon Star Pink --- you can see it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rr2Y135W6Fc --- the Pink Panther goes into a teleporter booth and gets his molecules scrambled with a bee's. He takes it in very good stride, considering, in a scene that made a very deep impression on the young Austin Dern.

I could not find the pink I used in earlier Pink Panther pictures, especially not a pink that matched what I saw on-screen. This is really more of a maroon than anything else. You probably can't sell a Maroon Panther cartoon, though.
