That’s something I’m kinda glad I didn’t have to totally pin down since it’s a comic and not an animation! It would kinda just sound like his internal voice, and be words without sound? Where he would sound like a young boy with maybe unusually good diction, but also kinda subjective sounding—like when he spooped the people waiting for the elevator? It would probably be just slightly off-putting and hard to put your finger on, since it’s words going into your head rather than you processing sounds into those words.
"Oh? You were SCARED? Gee! I WONDER WHAT THAT WOULD BE LIKE? How do you get by? What with being THE ONLY PERSON IN THE HISTORY OF EVER TO GO THROUGH SUCH A THING. Sure would be nice to have someone going through a similar thing to to you. YOU MUST BE SO LONELY, BEING ALONE LIKE THAT."
I'd tell Shine 'calm down a bit, think it over and have a little perspective', only that isn't possible yet without a comparison case and knowing yet what Fancy there now *is*. But Shine may have got lucky. Fancy there may not have had any choice. Let's hope that outburst doesn't later become a source of self-reflective regret.
^_^ Oh, that's literally why he hasn't tracked the Fancy Man down yet. He hasn't trusted himself not to start berating the Fancy Man the second he sees him. He doesn't think he'll find any reason given for not connecting to be valid, especially when the Fancy Man was blending in so well and he very much was edging into being totally unable to do so, but he does still want to treat the dude with equanimity when he does confront him--he figures the Fancy Man needs some sort of community as much as he does.
