Copy of a part of the cover from the December 1986 Compute!'s Gazette magazine, which you can see at https://archive.org/details/1986-12-computegazette ... the cover art is for a type-in video game, the unfortunately named Q-Bird. In this game you're a small creature hopping to adjacent squares on an isometrically-viewed rectangular grid while three purple lizards and a King Cobra hop around trying to land on you. I can't imagine what game Q-Bird might be approximating, but there it is. Anyway the cover art has that nice 80s Video Game Box Art style to it and I liked drawing a kind-of-realistic-ish bird, which I haven't done much, and a snake with some bulk to him.
