Its just come as a massive wake up call to him, that while he really wanted Jesse, he can't keep doing what he was doing, pretending to be a full on hetero butch sports star with having a secret twink kept out of sight. Its a blow to Aaron because its making him question between what matters more, running the risk of losing his career goals if he's shunned for being gay, or carrying on doing what he's been doing.

Well: Seems that Aaron HAS matured a little. Seeing as he is actually GETTING what Jesse is saying and thus understands. But his does seem like he also still has the "I do not want any steady relationship with a fem-boy, and if they do not want to be a side gig they can fuck right off" part as well. But~ it is at least a step in teh right direction. ^^

But I think he never really had a stable solid committed relationship before. I think he only had one-night stands or women that he fucked for a while but no real emotionally and romantically invested relationship. So he never had to think about it before and all. Till now. ^^;;

Aaron's really looking for "immature relationships," those relationships that don't really mean much and are just for fun and nothing else. Not that there's anything wrong with that as long as it's what both partners want, but it sounds like he's historically not been interested in going to that next level, and no one's made him confront it before.
