It is of no surprise that Clan Volkn loves fire and has a healthy surplus of Clanrats willing to strap on Warpfire Thrower gear to douse and drench their enemies in the horrifying substance that is Warpfire. As such, the clan very heavily relies on Clan Skryre to supply them and build them such volatile and often hazardous devices. The Warpfire Thrower is a crude device and faulty more often than not, but the results of the destruction it can carve out offsets the risks of explosions. Iza was never a big fan of manufacturing Warpfire Throwers, finding Doomwheels and Ratling Guns to 'be the future', as she so puts it. Still, when Grime came to her one day and volunteered to be one of the first rats to test a personal Warpfire Thrower to offset needing two bodies to handle the usual device design, Iza was in no position to decline. Perhaps Grime was inspired by Iza's personal one-rat Ratling Gun she uses for herself. Or perhaps Grime was selfish and wanted all the battle glory for himself. Perhaps both? Who's to say? Grime simply loves his job, as the prototype he so haphazardly straps to himself has remained intact. For now. Despite Iza's dislike for Warpfire Throwers, she cannot argue with the results she receives from running tests on Grime. Admiring Grime's steadfast determination, Iza has taken a liking to her new 'lab rat'.
