So to keep a long story short, I'm part of an RP group that uses pokemon OCs and am in charge of running a modernized, steampunky Roman Empire occupied by all canine pokemon called Kánitore. The Empire has an expansive history of conquest and colonization but had recently changed their ways following a really bloody civil war.
Without boring anyone with all the details, the government of this Empire is based on the concept of wolf packs being led by Alphas. The Emperor is at the head of the government, with his Alphas being advisors and Betas their enforcers and advisors as well. Alphas keep the Emperor in check and Betas keep the Alphas in check. Every Alpha has a court (based on a wolf pack) of citizens that they administer but ultimately answer to the Emperor.
Without further ado, here are some of the initial sketches of the Alphas of this country that I made. Keep in mind this is old art and their designs have been tweaked more in later drawings.
