Since I have to fly out of DIA on Wednesday, thought I'd pay tribute to the somewhat imposing/disturbing sculptures on the site.

Personally, I think it's pretty damn cool, even if I am absolutely terrified of flying. I mean, it crushed it's creator while being made! How metal is that!?
Now they've put up a sculpture of Anubis (Everyone keeps saying "The God of Death") at the airport as well.

I can see how having Anubis watching you at the airport can make some visitors edgey, you wouldn't want to be reminded of death in a place that's dangerous anyways, but imo it's really pretty cool. You don't see things like that every day, at least not in my tiny town. And the horse statue is pretty BA as well. The glowing eyes are pretty creepy but that just adds to the amazement. (Yet I'm not sure how fond I am of the idea of still having it set up even after killing the person who created it. A matter of honor or reminder of death, yet again.)
fjds It would be really cool to have a mural similar to this painted in the airport somewhere though. It's like they have their own mascots. You did a really amazing job on the anatomy and coloring, I love the gradient on Anubis. And the clouds/smoke(?) add a really amazing touch swirling around the two. <3
