Doom - New Horizons
On one side, Nex as to fight on a planet Earth whitch has been overrun by Demonic Forces, wiping out 60% of the planet's population,
One the other side, Zeeme takes advantage of the beautiful sunny weather by harvesting the turnips and fruits of his Island's garden!
Two absolutly opposite universes indeed, but one common goal for this adorable couple: To enjoy and have fun!
At least if Zeeme needs help about spiders on his Island, Nex will be there to fight some with his sword, and if Nex need some backup,
Zeeme will be there to give him some tasty fruits to regenerate his health bar! For sure, these two lovers are here to help each other!
This shaded color drawing was commissioned by NexAnimaCanis and Zeeme123 as they both wanted to show their favorite
games of 2020. funnily, DOOM Eternal and Animal Crossing - New Horrizons were both released simultaneously in 2020 and due to
the pandemic and many people staying at home, the two games were big commercial hits. Nex and Zeeme, being a truly adorable
couple, asked me to draw something related to both games with Nex standing in the Doom universe and Zeeme enjoying his island
in Animal Crossing. Lot of hard work and efforts were put into this drawing as I also needed to make some researches for the general
aesthetics/designs of the two games. It became pretty obvious that I had to oppose and merge to radically different universes, an
red devilish one and a blue peaceful one. Lot of details were put on the background which finally took more time to do than the
two characters. Nex is partialy protected by the Domm-Guy armor (to show part of his fluffy body) and holding the famous red sword.
I put Zeeme in the sweet countryside of his island proudly holding a turnip from his recent harvest. Both cuties needed enought details
to not feel out of place with the highly detailed background behind them. As I said to them many times, I love challenging pictures like
this one and it was definitely a big pleasure for me to work on this drawing! I'm also pretty happy and pround of the result!
