went in to the garage earlier to put some things away, checked on the tanks and saw that Echidna, my emperor scorpion, was covered in what lookedl ike sand, this was odd, as she had never burrowed before, and to my surprise, she had given birth
I had gotten her at a reptile show last year thinking she was gravid, but after a few months I figured she wasn't fertilized. since we moved down here she has had a voracious appetite, this is possibly why

when they get older it should be relativly easy, females are fatter and have smaller combs than males
they also tend to be bigger
idk, probobly sell them, I don't have the capacity for scorpion breeding, and emperors are dime a dozen anyhow
plus what the hell am i going to do with that many lol
i'll probobly just keep a few to raise

Yup very true, other animals such as some marsupials do similar things(keeping fertilized embryos in what is basically stasis until conditions are right to raise young). Good job on the original poster for being able to keep their pet in good living conditions where they feel comfortable having young. :D
I've never been a fan of scorpions, but suddenly...I am.
I never thought I'd say it...but that's so goddamn beautiful.
Will you post pictures as they get older? I'd really like to see.
I've got a tank with a reptile screen...I was planning on getting a corn snake...but I wonder....
