This is supposed to be something like a teaser for the game that would never release. I was dreaming so much about this, but unfortunately I cant make games. Hey, maybe you want some lore to this?
That unnaturally bright green fog was caused by an explosion of a large fluxogen factory. Fluxogen is a fictional material, which is used as a weapon. Small shards of fluxogen crystals are so sharp, that they cut your skin and cause chemical poisoning which may be fatal, if you wont seek medical attention quickly. So be sure to wear an industrial full-body suit whenever you go outside.
