"Let's heat things up!" Ralus shouts before showering his opponent in a barrage of embers.
As alluded to in a previous piece of mine, this is one of Ralus' Hyper Combos, the Cinder Storm. Executed with a quarter-circle forward plus two punch buttons, it's essentially a souped up Cinder Shot, one of his special moves. With his right hand, Ralus lets loose a chaotic burst of fire that unleashes a bunch of embers in a cone shape in front of him. If you're familiar with the Vs. Series, it's basically a narrower version of Magneto's Magnetic Tempest, or Akuma's grounded Tenma Gou Zankuu from Marvel 3. While this happens, Ralus begins charging fiery energy in his left hand, and releases one last burst of flame as a finishing blow. He tops it off with a quick fist pump before returning to his idle stance. It uses one bar of hyper combo energy, and if everything connects (only feasible against larger characters, or if done in a corner), it deals 29 hits in total.
The idea to give my OC a fighting game moveset came gradually after his inception, specifically based on MvC1's controls. His hypers and specials are very much set in stone, but his normals and throws are still a WIP. I'm not exactly sure how well his movepool will gel together when it's all decided, but considering I have no experience in game design, I'm not too worried about it. The hope is to have his entire moveset drawn at some point. If nothing else, it'll be good posing and anatomy practice.
