Ah! New art :D
Glad to see ya posting again, hope you are in good health! ^-^
And such a wonderful piece of art this is!
I genuinely love that background, it looks awesome! definitely something that works only per piece of art, but is such a nice in-between for no background and full blown background.
Plus it keeps the focus where it needs to be!
Just great overall! <3
The holiday lights are rather simplistic, but on first few viewings of this artwork, I had no idea!
A trick of the mind maybe? Done through skillful technic! Whatever it may be, they are so awesome! Especially how I could picture them in a memory where the lights are bloomed due to age!
I missed out on doing any holiday art (Trying to get that bread through my Logo work)
So these cute little lights make me soooo want to draw something festive <3
Also, I must say your tree it fantastic. I find pine trees in particular a bit of a mixed bag, ya either go full cartoon, or realistic. Somehow you've cut done the middle. Which is very inspirational.
I really want to practice my pine trees now!
Finally, that character.
Man I've missed your work, it is so unique in its styling without being jarring.
I'm going to sound a bit like a broken record, so forgive me!
But that pose looks amazing, it just feels right!
When it comes to more complicated poses, like this one; I really can appreciate them all the more!
I've attempted a pose like this, it is not easy. However, you also went for less of a sideview angle and more of a side-front angle. That's nuts! I love it! It's little touches like that, which really make your work stand out!
Oh and, the colors look very well done as usual, especially with those lights hitting them.
The shading is always well done, and I just recently noticed you use a mix of hard and soft shading! It's fantastic and definitely makes sense to do so.
Overall, another great work of art!
